Rams Welcome Running Back Sony Michel to Los Angeles

It has been an offseason of turmoil in regards to the running back position for the Los Angeles Rams, who have already seen a fair share of damage dealt to their backfield. The occurrence of budding second-year talent, Cam Akers, suffering a torn achilles tendon was the earth-shattering news to start an unfortunate chain of events for the Rams. Louisiana-Lafayette product, Raymond Calais, was cut after he suffered a foot fracture in the week two preseason matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders. This injury is likely to take 4-6 months of healing time, effectively ending the back's 2021 season. Darrell Henderson, the heir to the starting job after Akers went down, suffered a thumb sprain that forced him to exit practice last week. Luckily the sprain was deemed insignificant, and the Rams took the necessary day-to-day steps in order to have him ready to start in the regular season opener against the Chicago Bears on September 12th.  In response to the unfavorable happenings, some much...

Perkins' Preseason Efforts Show Undeniable Promise

The Los Angeles Rams hold a 0-2 record in the 2021 preseason, as they prepare for their finale of the shortened 3 game preseason. This upcoming matchup against the Denver Broncos is to be played at Empower Field at Mile High, and though the Rams are without a win, brightness has shone through in bursts from both sides of the ball. The biggest star thus far has easily been the quarterback out of the University of Virginia, Bryce Perkins.  With two games against his AFC West competition under his belt, Perkins has proven to be a field general. Taking outstanding command of the second team offense with a completion percentage of 66.7 off of 39 attempts, 208 pass yards and 2 touchdowns, U of V Alum came off of the matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders with many impressed. While those are not outlandish stats for a preseason game, Perkins' film does show his capability of handling a starting position in the NFL. His elusiveness inside and outside of the pocket alongside his ability...

Matthew Stafford's First Training Camp as a Ram

We are a week into the NFL's preparation phase before games will be played. It's been an incredibly long offseason and preseason football is nearly here. With that, comes a veteran quarterback Matthew Stafford, who is going through his first training camp with the Los Angeles Rams. With a new, exciting offense under his command, the anticipation is quite a huge storyline this NFL season. However with that anticipation, undoubtedly comes high expectations.  Leading up to this moment, Stafford's career with the Detroit Lions has left an aura of doubt shrouded around him. The pure incompetence of the Detroit Lions organization has at least given him the title of Underrated Gunslinger. This being said, the 12 year QB has a lot to prove this year playing alongside a talented WR group he has otherwise rarely had (I won't mention previous WR talent he has played with *ahem*, Calvin Johnson); as well as an offensive minded head coach in Sean McVay that quite literally will bui...
