Titans (7-2) Beat Down Rams (7-2) 28-16 on Sunday Night Football | Monday Night Football Rams @ 49ers Preview
Quarterback Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams weren't exempt from accomplishing a major set back on a NFL Sunday full of them.
Sunday Night Football brought the AFC South leading Tennessee Titans into SoFi Stadium for a primetime matchup in which they wouldn't even have their best offensive player suited up. Along with that, the hype for recently acquired outside linebacker Von Miller would rest during this game as well on an ankle injury sustained a few weeks ago when he was a Denver Bronco. He will look to make his first start in the horns on Monday Night Football against the San Francisco 49ers.
Stafford had his worst game as a Ram on Sunday night. He would throw two uncharacteristic interceptions, one of them being a pick six by Titans All-Pro safety Kevin Byard. He had done a fantastic job at protecting the ball leading up to the Titans game and all puns intended, he dropped the ball on Sunday night. The QB would be sacked five times, in the midst of a season where The Rams very solid offensive line had only given up eight sacks in 9 weeks. It was an absolute atrocious effort by the ex-Lion and Head Coach Sean McVay called this game very much like he was lost from the first kickoff. The Rams failed to sustain any sort of momentum on offensive drives as their only touchdown on the night would come from a stat-padding 3 yard pass to running back Sony Michel with 24 seconds left in the game. Titans Head Coach and defensive mastermind Mike Vrabel had an incredibly stout defensive game-plan to stifle this Rams offense and it was executed to near perfection.
The Rams defense did their absolute best to keep this game close, all things considered. The ineptitude of the offense put the D in a very bad spot in terms of short fields to defend and just being on the field too much and getting gassed. Cornerback Jalen Ramsey made his presence felt early in the game with a beautiful interception of Titans QB Ryan Tannehill on a target to receiver A.J. Brown. Aaron Donald and Leonard Floyd would also do their part of help making life easy for the offense with both players notching a sack on Tannehill. The offense just quite simply squandered a very strong defensive performance and failed to hold their end of the bargain. It was one to forget for the Rams but probably more than anyone, Stafford and McVay.

Rams @ Niners Preview
No need to panic, just get right. There's no better time to boost your confidence than going on the road and beating up on a downtrodden division rival in a primetime redemption game. The 3-5 49ers are coming off of an ugly loss of their own against the NFC West leaders in the 8-1 Arizona Cardinals. The Niners wouldn't fall 31-17 to the same Cardinals the rest of the league had faced. It was the QB journeyman Colt McCoy, and DeAndre Hopkins-less Cards. It was an ugly loss for SF and going into MNF against the Rams, their QB situation is a ginormous question mark. Do the Niners stick with the statuesque presence of Jimmy Garoppolo or let it ride with rookie out of North Dakota State, Trey Lance. Head Coach Kyle Shanahan has some big time decisions to make going into this one. His seat feels to be heating up as the Niners look lost in a very deep and competitive NFC West division.
This could not come at a more opportune time for L.A. It's the ultimate get right game for Stafford. He has the opportunity to go on the road and keep his name within the MVP conversation with a great performance performance going into the bye week. He needs keep his outstanding connection with receiver Cooper Kupp solid. Kupp was his efficient self against the Titans despite not finding the endzone. His 11 catches for 95 yards look pretty on the stat sheet as he continue to pitches an Offensive Player of the Year caliber season. Coop will find the endzone against the Niners, you can count on it.The Rams defensive unit should really have a field day with this subpar Niners offense, now without offensive lineman Mike McGlinchey. Though the Rams just put nose tackle Sebastian Joseph-Day on injured reserve, 2nd string nose tackle Greg Gaines is up to the task of filling the role for the defense and helping AD in applying pressure for the rest of the season. I don't see the defense losing that steam we saw against the Titans as the unit starts to get hot before playing some really outstanding offenses in the November and December months
I predict the Rams breaking their 4 game losing streak to S.F. and beating the 49ers, 27 - 17
